OVO facilitates investments by connecting well-prepared African companies with suitable financing sources. Supported by volunteers, OVO guides companies through targeted coaching and coordinates due diligence. Once a company completes its coaching program and prepares a final investment dossier, it is submitted to the OVO Investment Committee.
This independent committee evaluates each company professionally and objectively to determine whether it qualifies for the “OVO Certified: Investing for Change” label. In this evaluation, the committee considers factors such as financial viability, sustainability, feasibility, and impact, taking into account the specific circumstances of each company.
Companies that receive the label are then introduced to investors, including the OVO Acceleration Fund and partner networks, for further evaluation and potential investment.
After certification, local financial partners handle loan disbursements, monitor company performance, and report back to investors and OVO.
